Bhagavatam 0370: Demons eternally focus upon the Lord who is their object of hatred

We were discussing about devotion. It is said that either with devotion which is absolutely devoid of enmity, or out of total aversion towards the Lord the mind should be fixed completely upon the Lord.
Maharishi Śuka continued, “Kamsa focused upon Krishna due to fear; Gopikas focused upon Him due to their desires.
We have discussed that Emperor Parikshit wanted to know why demons Dantavaktra and Śiśupala, who abused the Lord up to the moment of their death, merged into Him upon death.
Yudhisthira (Dharmaraja) then asked, “O Maharishi Nārada! Please explain to us that curse which caused these ardent devotees of Srihari, who had served the Lord after surrendering fully unto Him, to fall from their level.
Although Sanaka and other sages were supreme sages, in appearance they were like 5-year-old boys.
The sages cursed, “O foolish men! Traits of goodness (sattva) alone pervade Vaikunṭha and all those who live in close proximity to Srihari here.
Maharishi Nārada continued, “Prahlada is the supremely knowledgeable being (maha-jnani) who sees the Lord as pervading through this universe.
Seated in his assembly, Hiraṇyakaśipu, who was seething in anger, thundered violently, “My enemies, the insignificant Devatas, have through their services pleased Srihari, who always treats us and them as equal.
