Story thus far: We have discussed that Shiva pleaded helplessness in helping kill demon Gardhabhasura as he was his dearest devotee.
Vishnu wanted to prove his devotion by killing the demon Gardhabhasura in the very presence of Lord Shiva.
Gardhabhasura who was waiting to battle Vishnu remained stupefied seeing the astonishing beauty standing in front of him.
