Is Self-realization and state of thoughtlessness one and the same?

Is it possible for you to stay in a thoughtless state? Is there anyone who can do that? (The person answered No and Sri Swamiji says even He has thoughts.)

One who is more engaged in the matters of the world has more thoughts. One who is less involved in the world, has fewer thoughts. Is it better to control the fewer thoughts or should one try harder and prevent all the thoughts? Rather than attempting to control all the thoughts, one must move towards a state of lesser thoughts!

The aspect of Self-realization is not required for you now. At the moment, you focus only on lessening your thoughts. You have to fight for this. You should not fight for Self-Realization. One should move towards eliminating thoughts. That is why you are asked to meditate. You cannot meditate when there are thoughts running in your mind. You have to silence them to be able to meditate. Irrespective of the number of thoughts, if you are able to put them aside and meditate, then that is Atma Siddhi. It is the accomplishment. This is your answer.
