This is an old question. Dadhici, the great saint, gifted his spinal cord to Indra to make a weapon. Lord Indra, the Lord of heaven, asked Brahma if Dadhici would have a problem in his next life due to this. Brahma clarified that Dadhici will not suffer but in fact would benefit due to this act. So please donate organs and save lives.
