Can worldly questions/ doubts be put forth before Sadguru or should they be asked only before His photo?

This differs from person to person. If you have true faith, then photo itself will reveal the answers. If you lack that faith, then you need to ask in person. If you doubt whether you will grasp the answer that comes from the photo or doubt your ability to put forth the question before the photo, then, whenever you get the opportunity directly ask your Guru.

Since the Supreme Lord is not always available, we put forth our questions to Him who resides in our heart. Guru at least gives you a photo.** If you have the faith that Guru is God and if you worship Him with that faith, then undoubtedly you will get answers to the question put forth before the photo. **When you don’t get a reply, do not assume that your prayer did not reach Him but understand that He has not given permission. Keep trying. One day you may get the permission.

Just as cooking is gradually learnt and cannot be mastered in a second, as you speak before the photo for a long period of time, you will find the photo talking back to you in return.

Secondly, children are allowed to ask worldly questions, not adults. This is because children are too small to differentiate between worldly doubts and spiritual doubts. Adults do not have this exemption.
