If Sadguru wills, He can. But He will have to suffer for that karma. The story of Sage Vishwamitra and King Trishanku illustrates this point.

However Guru does not do so. He only guides and the student must travel by himself. There is no shortcut or getting rid of karma. Although Sadguru is capable, I am no Vishwamitra nor Vashista. I believe in Karma theory. Karma here means actions. After the path of karma comes devotion (bhakti), spiritual knowledge (jnana) and detachment (vairagya). I do not want to take your karma. My bag is already heavy.

Ok, what to do to get rid of karma? Pray, help others and respect Nature.
