Homeopathic medicines have a tendency of raking up old illnesses in the beginning. For instance, when a homeopath gives a medicine for curing headache, initially it might aggravate the disease before curing it. What should we presume when the disease has been aggravated? Should we presume that the medicine failed to work or should we believe that the disease, that was dormant for so long with us, has been brought up to the forefront?
Puja is like this homeopathic medicine. When the Almighty decides that the person needs cleansing, He will at first bring out all the impurities that have collected in him across many births. The patient should be patient and continue the medication for as long as the physician advices. Likewise one should learn to tolerate hardships.
