You seek to know the power of Lord Venkateshwara! Do you know the complete might of fire? Can you put your hand in it in order to verify? Similarly, you cannot know the power of the Lord. He is like the mighty raging Fire.
Coming to your second question, why is the name ‘Datta’ prefixed to the deity? You can say that it is purely my wish! Datta means ‘Gift’; Datta is He who has gifted Himself totally to us.
I have given my mind, my senses to Lords Venkataramana and Hanuman. They both gift themselves to those devotees who offer themselves to God with a pure mind and complete devotion. They gift themselves to the devotees who worship them with absolute faith. Hence we use the term Datta for all our deities – Datta Hanumanta, Datta Rama, Datta Ganapati. Datta means we self-surrender to Him and He gives himself to us!
This is the name I have given, this is not in any Purana. Datta implies Sadguru. Wherever I see, I see Datta – in any temple – be it Hanuman temple, Venkataramana temple, Devi temple – I only see Datta, I see the Trinity. Similarly, you should see Swamiji in all temples, no matter where you go.
