Dashama Skanda Ānandadhāma… May my mind merge into the lotus feet of Lord Govinda, who has supreme bliss as His residence; who wears the non-dual Supreme Knowledge as His form; who does not have any existence apart from Him in this creation, and who is beyond the understanding of the mind and senses!
The Skandas (Cantos) in Bhagavatam are the limbs of the Supreme Lord.
Narayana bhaktyā bhāgavataṁ gnēyaṁ na cotpatya na ca ṭīkayā -
Emperor Parikshit continued, “Avatīrya yador vaṁśe bhagavān bhūta-bhāvanaḥ Kṛtavān yāni viśvātmā tāni no vada vistarāt
Krishna Maharishi Śuka began to reply in great detail to the story of Lord Srikrishna as enquired by Parikshit.
Maharishi Śuka continued, “Just as the newly-weds, Devaki and Vasudeva, were about to begin their journey back home, drums, kettle-drums, conches and bugles were sounded heralding auspiciousness.
“Destiny alone determines one’s association or separation with a particular body”- Vasudeva, the son of Sura, using his wisdom and intelligence to the best of his abilities, pondered over the pros and cons of his decision.
Achyutaya namah Canto Ten Chapter Two In this chapter, the incarnation of Srikrishna and the Devatas glorifying Srikrishna who is in Devaki’s womb are covered.
Srihari Maharishi Śuka continued, “Due to the presence of the indestructible Supreme Lord in her womb, the prison cell wherein Devaki was located began to glow effulgently.
